Most people say their lives never turn out the way they planned.  I believe it.  I never, ever thought I would be in Pakistan.  But, my desire for list-making is urging me to make a life checklist of things I want to see and experience. 

- Write short stories and get them published 

- Live in New York

- Live in Europe

- Travel, travel, travel

- Read lots of books

- Make movies 

- Live in Canada

- Travel to all 50 U.S. states (preferably by car)

- Cruise in Mexico

- See the Great Wall of China

- Visit my host families in Japan again

- See the Berlin wall 

- Build a family

- Volunteer to help children worldwide

- Help build homes worldwide

- Own a cafe
