That’s what life is about.  It’s about surrounding yourself with people who make you feel extraordinary AND who you make feel extraordinary.       

I’ve been thinking a lot about money lately.  Most people think about it all the time. It’s not invisible, it can’t be ignored.  It’s real.  We need it for important things - the new iPhone 4, a ginormous house, new clothes - right?  Mmmhmm.  At what point did we start wanting money for more than just the basics (food and shelter)?  People like money because it brings power.  Power to buy that iPhone 4 or power to tell people what to do.  

When we drove past an impoverished village outside of Islamabad, I glanced over for a split second and saw children chasing each other all smiling and laughing.  That split second proved that joy is possible even in the most desolate situations.  

I am so mad at the world sometimes though.  

I’m not going to lie and say, “I don’t want diamonds, they’re stupid.”  Because I do like diamonds.  But, I know they are not necessary for happiness.  When you can reach the point of accepting the fact that wealth is not necessary for a fulfilling life, then you can actually start living a fulfilling life.
